John is a communicator with excellent technical, marketing and project management skills. He regularly lectures on architecture for The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS) and on board ships.
His professional background is in engineering, but now he spends more time with visitor destinations (such as National Trust places), working out who visits them and why.
His passions are architecture, music and astronomy, and he regularly enchants audiences up and down the country (and overseas) with lectures on these topics.
